How Encouraging Others Can Spread Positivity and Motivation
I recently had coffee with a dear friend who just launched her online boutique, and I couldn’t be more proud! I’ve linked her store below so you can support her and find something cute to add to your closet. During our chat, we delved into the world of small businesses and the courage it takes to bet on yourself. The conversation was both uplifting and rewarding.
My friend shared how impactful our previous discussions about believing in yourself and pursuing passions had been for her. She told me that my journey—taking risks with my event decorating business, writing children’s books, and hosting a podcast—had motivated her to take those initial steps toward becoming a small business owner. It’s incredible that my experiences have inspired not just her but many others who have reached out with messages of encouragement.
Leaving that coffee date, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support I’ve received in my own endeavors. More importantly, I was inspired to remind you all about the power of spreading joy and positivity. You never know how your words can impact someone else. I hadn’t realized that simply sharing my goals and actively working toward them could motivate others to do the same.
We all create ripple effects—positive or negative—through our actions and words. It’s up to us to choose how we influence the world around us. There’s enough room for everyone to follow their passions. It’s far more rewarding to lift each other up than to bring each other down.
I hope these weekly blog posts inspire you to pursue something you’ve contemplated. It doesn’t have to mean starting a business; it could be trying out a new recipe you’ve been eyeing or striking up a conversation with another mom at the soccer game. You never know what beautiful relationships or opportunities might arise from stepping outside your comfort zone.
It’s also important to remember that not everyone will be on board. Some may not root for you, and that’s okay. You’re not here to please everyone; you’re running your own race. Believe in yourself—and know that I believe in you, too.
What steps can you take today to inch closer to your dreams? I’d love to celebrate your wins in the comments below. Let’s cheer each other on; the world needs more of that these days.
Happy reading!
Xoxo,
Katie Marie
